Heronwood is a rolling, wooded 155-acre mixed farm located between the villages of Bright and Plattsville in Blandford-Blenheim Township, Oxford County, Ontario.
Gail Cuthbert Brandt and Bernd Brandt bought the property in 1992. Over the past two decades, they have planted over 17 000 trees on the property, restoring hedgerows and planting along roadways to prevent soil erosion.
In 2012 the Brandts implemented an extensive renovation of the existing nineteenth century bank barn so that it could easily accommodate horses. Currently there are six generous paddocks and a large hay field to support a herd of six registered Canadian horses.
Other agricultural ventures include hazelnut, paw paw fruit, rhubarb, garlic, and asparagus crops as well as Christmas trees and greeneries.
In 2020 the Brandts added maple syrup production to their multifaceted farm operation.
